Spotworks Visualises Singapore’s Future: URA Draft Master Plan 2025
Spotworks is proud to support the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) by providing detailed visual renderings that help showcase Singapore’s ambitious plans under the Draft Master Plan 2025. This blueprint, unveiled on June 25, sets out Singapore’s development vision for the next 10 to 15 years — and Spotworks is honoured to help bring these future neighbourhoods and urban spaces to life.
The Draft Master Plan outlines key developments across the island, including new mixed-use “urban villages” in central locations such as Newton and Orchard Road, expansive housing projects at the former Singapore Racecourse site in Kranji, and transforming Sembawang Shipyard into a vibrant waterfront district. Our visualisations illustrate not just the buildings, but the lifestyle, connectivity, and green spaces that will define these dynamic communities.
One of the standout projects is the new urban village near Newton MRT station, which will feature around 5,000 private residences alongside parks, heritage buildings, and safe footpaths. Spotworks’ renderings capture the transformation of Monk’s Hill Road into a lush linear park that connects Newton MRT to Emerald Hill, preserving the area’s rich history while adding vibrant community spaces.
At Orchard Road, our visuals depict the emerging mixed-use hub on Paterson Road — combining residential units with retail, dining, and office spaces integrated seamlessly above Orchard MRT station. These images convey URA’s vision of Orchard evolving beyond a retail hotspot into a green, connected urban neighbourhood with cycling paths and new public spaces.
Beyond the city centre, Spotworks helped visualise exciting plans for new towns such as:
-
Dover-Medway: A modern, mixed public and private housing neighbourhood linked closely with One-North’s innovation hubs.
-
Former Singapore Racecourse at Kranji: A sprawling new estate surrounded by nature corridors and waterways.
Our renderings aim to capture the balance of urban vibrancy, heritage preservation, and nature integration — reflecting URA’s goal of creating sustainable, livable communities.
The Draft Master Plan also emphasises senior-friendly housing, integrated community hubs, and new recreational spaces to support residents at every stage of life. Spotworks’ visuals highlight these inclusive design elements, from community care apartments to multi-use hubs in towns like Woodlands and Sengkang.
Additionally, we illustrated infrastructure improvements such as the new pedestrian and cycling bridge linking Marina Centre to Bay East Garden — a key step to enhancing connectivity and walkability.
At Spotworks, we believe that compelling visual storytelling plays a vital role in communicating urban plans to the public. Our renderings go beyond architecture to express how future spaces will feel, function, and foster community.
While Spotworks is not a planning or architecture firm, our contribution to the URA Draft Master Plan 2025 reflects our mission to support civic initiatives with design clarity and empathy. We are honoured to participate in a process that balances visionary ideas with public engagement.
As Singapore charts its next phase of growth, Spotworks remains committed to using design and storytelling to make the city’s future more accessible, inspiring, and tangible for all Singaporeans.
